Support Tip: OBM/OMi - Browser not working properly after recent update made to Chrome 83
Affected supported browsers: Chrome 83.0.4103.97 and later
The problem was introduced for Operations Bridge Manager (OBM) as part of chromium fixes between versions 83.0.4103.95 and 83.0.4103.97.
Micro Focus developers have produced hotfixes for this issue. The links to the fix for the specific version are provided in the knowledge base article linked at the bottom of this post.
Current work around options:
1. Use a different supported browser (Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Safari) as a short term solution
2. Use an older Chrome browser version without this issue. If all browsers already updated company wide and required to use chromium based browser then temporarily use a jump box with a working browser to access OBM pages/workspaces.
3. Alternative work around:
- Make sure the page you are interested in is loaded to your Workspace but not selected. For example, interested in page “Health Perspective”, but there is also “Event Perspective” selected that doesn’t load.
-Now select “Event Perspective” that doesn’t work, log out and then log back in. The Event Perspective page doesn’t load.
-Now select the page you are actually interested in, “Health Perspective”, it will then load.
