(CO) Support Tip: How to import a CA Cert into CO - the easy way

Hello CO Community,

Security is a hot topic in today's ever changing technical world.  Within the CO 3.0x Installation Guides there are steps that are included to harden environments to help them be more secure.  One of these steps includes enabling TLS and importing a CA certificate.

Micro Focus Support Engineer Kevin Taylor recently created a knowledge document to help simplify the process for importing CA certificates for CO.  Instead of using the 12 steps listed within the product documentation, this can be reduced to 4 steps, that include restarting tomcat.

  1. Import the Root Certificate into the CO CA Certs keystore
  2. List PKCS12 cert/key to find out the alias name (if needed)
  3. Import a PKCS (P12) format cert and key into the CO keystore
  4. Restart Tomcat

More details with examples are available within the following knowledge article available on the Software Support Online (SSO) portal.

I hope that this information is helpful.

Have a great weekend!
