End of Life Support for OMU8.x
I have been told by HP Support that they no longer support OMU 8.33
I was under the impression that this was supported by HP until Nov 30 2012?
Am I correct???

Hello,
Our lifecycle information is available at:
http://support.openview.hp.com/encore/products.jsp
OMU 8.x is supported until Nov 30th, 2012, as you correctly noted.
Since you specifically mentionned version 8.33, note that some dependent products (e.g. OA 11.x) have a requirement to update to version 8.35.020 minimum.
Best regards,
TT.

Hello,
I think there is confusion between the products.
Version 8.33 refers to the Operations for Unix Management server (OMU).
You can update to 8.35.020 with a patch.
Versions 8.60 and 11.x refer to Operations Agents (OA).
Along with your OMU 8.x, you have most probably installed the depots for some versions of OA 8.x.
You can upgrade these depots to 8.60.501 through the latest OA patches.
Patches are available at http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/patches.
You can also upgrade to OA 11.x.
The latest available version is 11.10, available from the evaluation portal at
https://h20575.www2.hp.com/evalportal/displayProductsList.do?prdcenter=HPSS_OMC
Always read release notes and installation notes for possible upgrade pathes.
Also check the support matrix for supported platform and product version combinations:

Best regards,
TT.
