Hello Georgi,
I hope you are doing well,
To be honest with you for a event storm is hard to give like exact steps to follow to troubleshoot.
Usually the best steps is to stop the services and restart OMi, this will clear the queue and allow OMi to process the new events without problems, we also can check the opr-gateway and opr-backend logs to see what errors we are facing.
But the best option is to open a case with support and check the issue, How to tuning the OMi settings to increase the event traffic, to do event correlation.. in order to prevent it, well the best option for this will be to create an event storm. This will help you to avoid that the OMi crash when this happen.
Now about your second question, How to tuning the OMi settings to increase the event traffic, to do event correlation.. in order to prevent it. The best way to avoid this issues is to configure an event storm.
To create an event storm you can follow the step from the admin guide on chapter 25 "Chapter25:EventStormSuppression"
I am attaching the guide for you.
