False ping failure alerts

We are running SiteScope 11.24 v on Windows 2008 server. One of our SiteScope manager started sending lot of false ping failure alerts today. Those remote servers were up since many days.

Found many of these log entries in RunMonitor.log

On the SiteScope server we have around ~480 perfex.exe and 500+ conhost.exe processes are running. I dont see this conhost.exe on most of our SiteScope servers and on a few we have it running with very less count.

I have increased the perfex timeout to 240 but not sure if that is going to fix the issue. What i am trying to figure out is ,what is conhost.exe and is it normal to have 500+ count of them?

The more perfex instances the more conhost.exe you'll have. You need an overall performance check via support case.

How often do you restart SiteScope?

We restart every night, to avoid what you are describing.

We dont have any scheduled restart anymore. We stopped doing that once we moved over from 9.54.
