HP BSM integration with Service Now
We are currently using BSM 9.22 installed on windows server 2008.
I was wondering if any one has successfully integrated BSM with Service Now?
If so, has anyone documented on how to integrate Service Now with BSM.
Will I be able to see which tickets are associated with what servers or SiteScope monitor CIs etc and if the incident has been resolved etc?
Any information on this is very much appreciated.
we dont want to used any therd pary tool to integrate BSM TO SERVICE NOW.
Is there is any solution within BSM to perform the BSM TO SERVICE NOW INTEGRATION.
you can do it yourself, just read the Extensibility Guide. you won't find there anything specific for integrating BSM with SNOW, just because HPE doesnt have any reason to provide integration to competitor product.
there is another partner providing this integration, look for DoItWise connector for SNOW.
You can also use HP Operations Orchestration to create a custom integration flow to ServiceNow.
OO has a web service utility that connects the Service Now Rest API and creates objects in OO for the various web service methods.
This approach does take a bit of OO savy to configure though.
Here's a link to the OO forum in HPLN
MicroFocus' refusal to support a ServiceNow integration is a bunch of bull. If you follow the logic that they do not want to support it because it is not a MicroFocus product then all of the integrations should be remove from the MicroFocus websites including SCOM, Nagios, CA, DanaTrace, etc...
MicroFocus and HPE made this mess by announcing they were going to drop SM then decided to support it again and now the customers do not trust them and are making the move to ServiceNow. It is time for MicroFocus to stop crying and publish a usable integration.
I know they wrote one many years ago but the developer retired and no one else wanted to work on it, so it died.
