HP SiteScope - Monitoring connections between 2 remote machines

Dear Experts,

We are currently using SiteScope 11.23 installed on RHEL.

I was wondering if it is possible to monitor the connection between 2 servers.

Basically I would like to monitor the connection between the SiteScope Failover and SiteScope primary server,

because I received emails saying that the primary is suspended and the failover becomes active and then I always had the SiteScope GUI on my browser but it never logged me off or anything like that, so I assumed that the issue is that the Failover at times have trouble connecting to the Primary SiteScope.

So can anyone tell me how I can monitor the connection between 2 remote machines or the connection between the Failover and the Primary SiteScope, such as having the Failover constantly pinging the Primary, etc.

Any advice on this is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Ping and maybe telnet (port monitor) to 8080 should be enough.
