How to create a new user RTSM

How to create a new user rtsm (for NNM-BSM topology integration)
I'm trying do it by Guide HP NNMi -HP BSM Topology Integration Best Practices.

The following steps show how to create a new RTSM user for the NNMi - BSM topology integration.
1. Log in to the RTSM:
http: // <BSM Data Processing Server>: 21212 / ucmdb
Username: admin
Password: admin (default password) ......
But when go to http: // <BSM DPS>: 21212 / ucmdb no fields Username, password and do not actively "UCMDB Configuration Manager
UCMDB Browser "

P.S. Everything work well, just added new instance NNM.

Hi,

Try adding 'jmx-console' to the end of the URL, e.g.:

http://<dps_server>:21212/jmx-console

Hi, Tim

Thx for reply

Jmx-console working, and I guess next step is: http://<dps_server>:21212/jmx-console/HtmlAdaptor?action=inspectMBean&name=Foundations:service=RTSM passwords manager ?

changeDataCollectorsOdbAccessPwd

Changes integration users password for RTSM access

Name Type Value Description customerId int Customer Id newPassword java.lang.String New Password

Right?

But my question about "no fields Username, password and do not actively "UCMDB Configuration Manager" still opened.....
Actually I would prefer to work with web interface.

Hi,

changeDataCollectorsOdbAccessPwd will change the default RTSM integration account that BSM data collectors use (e.g. RUM, Diags), so you would have to update your data collectors that use it.

I think the doc says to add a new integration user by going to:

"UCMDB:service=Security Services" and then "createIntegrationUser" so you can create a new integration user just for NNM

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but you don't get prompted to login when you go to

http://<dps_server>:21212, but you can't update anything from there without going to the jmx-console link, and then you do have to enter the user and pw.  Also, by default, the jmx consoles are restricted to localhost ony now (although that can be changed back if needed).

Regards,

Tim
