Hp Bac - SiteScope Display Prolem

Hi all,

i hava a problem, when trying to display sitescope from bac.

Bac and site scope works fine, sitescope can sends event and changes can be seen from bac.

However, if i try to open sitescope by using bac tab which is admin>system availibilty management> sitescope and it shows 'the page you are trying to access is unavailable'.

Also, in the platform tab admin>platform>data collection>data collectors maintenance >sitescope new page (pop -up) opens and same problem occurs.

Although, during configuration of sitescope correct ports, hostnames ext are set in bac, in the new pop up page wrong port number comes to url .

Why does wrong port number comes to pop - up ?

What is the reason, why can't bac open the sitescope ?

do i configure anything else ?

best regards
can

Can you provide the URL address,

Some tips which i am thinking might be issue.

Hostname may not be resolving (try ping with hostname)

Portmay be blocked (try with portqry exe, this can be downloaded from Microsfot site)

Thanks

it returns:
port tcp port 8888 : listening.

realy dont i understand, bac reaches to sitescope. but can not open it.

is there any chance to change or configure the url in platform tab admin> platform>data collection>data collectors maintenance >sitescope path?

best regards

If using IE8 this will not function. Try IE7

We do have the same problem in our Environment.

SiteScope and BAC are working with SSL.

1. Problem: SIteScope attached to BAC and Measurement Data can be transfered. In Sitescope 10.12 and BAC 8.04 there is a problem to send topology data to BAC. An ER is allreaqdy opened.

2. Problem: After configuring SiteScope for SSL, The links within BAC doesnt work anymore, there is still the old port in use: Port 8888.

Port 8888 was used formerly in BAC but should be since 10 8080. After the ssl switch it should be 8443.

Ill try to find the configuration site to change this.

PS: Has somebody a better idea, im looking forwarde to here from you.

Hi Atroeger

If I am not mistaken the URl:port should be in the management database. If you find it in there you can most probably change it in there.

Hi all,

following the solution after configuring SSL in BAC/SiteScope/BPM and Jboss:

Change SiteScope Port in Host Table from 8888 to 8443

Change Hosts_host_Types_Prop in BAc_mgmt1 (Port from 8888 to 8443 (2 times) ans protocol (from http to https)

Be sure that you configured also all other gateway URLs within DB from http to https and port 80 to port 443.

After you did this, everything works fine.
