Log file monitoring in Sitescope

Hi Everyone,

I have specific requirement for log file monitoring in Sitescope.
User wants us to monitor the string "Fail" from the last line of log file.
How can we achieve this.

Kindly suggest.

Hi!

In log file monitor you can use regular expressions.
Try to use regular expression: (fail)

Also you can test your expression using the tool in sitescope.

How can check if the "Fail" is in the last line of a log file? User does not want us to monitor for all the "Fail" in the log file, he need it only in the last line of a log file.

Hi,

The logfile monitor has the option to read the latest entries, it means after the last monitor reading,

Go to monitor properties --> Log File Setting --> Check from Begging --> Set as 'Never'

That might work to avoid false alerts,
