Management pack for MS SharePoint Server

Is there anyone out there familiar with implementing MP for MS SharePointServer?

How mature is this offering? What does it actually monitor of value from SharePoint? will it assist in telling me if I have a database, web or any other infrastructure event that efffects/impacts SharePoint continuity/availability?

We are fairly new to MP's as a transition from traditional SPi deployment. We have a major initiative to implement SharePoint in the organization and I need to legitimately look at how my team can implement decent monitoring of this infrastructure service in the organization.

Hi Greg,

Monitoring SharePoint Server with SharePoint Server Management Pack is very simple with the ease of Monitoring Automation and the simplification in Management pack.

SharePoint Management pack Discover's the SharePoint topology to provide insight in to SharePoint Health.

SharePoint Managament Pack monitors the following aspects of Sharepoint Server's

  • SharePoint Availability
  • Status of critical Services
  • Status of Logical Services
  • Performance of SharePoint key counters
  • Availability of SharePoint Databases
  • SharePoint server events ( All Error events from all sources of SharePoint are monitored )

For any further clarification , Please feel free to contack me.
