OBM 2020.10 - admin user login failure

Jump to solution
Spoiler
Installed OBM 2020.10 version in Linux. Ran the configuration wizard and provided an FQDN URL and created a password for Admin user. However, when I launch the OBM console and provide the username and password, I get the error as shown in attachment.

Try a simple one like 12345678. if  possible write it into notepad and copy and paste it from there.

Do you use Windows and RDP? Sure that there is no keyboard language translation active? Usually this is an cause.

stop OBM, run Configwizard, change Password there. There was a Typo in it. Be sure not to use strange characters. ASCII rulz!

Hi @andreask,

We did changed the password re-running the configwizard and getting the same error. We used only uppercase, lowercase and digits.

There is also an option in the JMX console to reset this. In short, it has to do with integrations, and not creating specific integration users as per the documentation, and taking the path of least resistance and using the admin user for this purpose. Follow the directions and RTFM is the RCA here. 😉
