OMi 10.63 - Several Thousands of Deployment jobs getting created frequently

OMi is managing some 4600 OA12 agent managed nodes running different flavors of Windows, Unix nodes.

We have created pattern based views matching the node group (CiCollection) and "Automatic Assignment Rules" are configured that assign Aspects to the Views. Whenever a new node is added and assigned to the CiCollection, the node will be part of the view and the Aspect (group of policy) will be initiated for the node automatically.

Problem is we found that several thousands of Deployment jobs are getting created very frequently for the nodes from Auto assignment rules.

The deployment jobs are getting kicked off for all nodes in a view when there is no change in the Aspect version..

It is expected that when a node is added to the CiCOllection, then the deployment has to be initiated only for the newly added CI instead of all nodes in the view. (example) There are some 3000 servers grouped in the Windows view. When a new node is added in the Windows node group, then the policy deployment is initiated for all 3000 CI's from the Auto assignment rule which is not expected.. Is it the default behaviour ?

Hello Ram,

Can you share more details on how you configure the Automatic Assignment Rules.
