OMi upgrade issue

Jump to solution

I have upgraded from OMi 10.01 to OMi 10.10 in our QC environment and OMi fails to start after the upgrade. The nanny_all.txt file indicates a failure to connect to SQL.  The weird thing here is it's passing in the servername instead of the windows user used in the configuration.

Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\QC-HP-OMI-01$'. <-- this is the servername.  It should be passing in DOMAIN\HP-OVE-USER.  This is the user that has access to the DB and was also to configure OMi.

We are using SQL Server with WINDOWS authentication, which was selected in the configuration wizard and had no issues connecting to the DB at that time.

Please let me know if there is any furhter information needed.

Figured it out.  The HP Operations Manager i service got changed to use local system account as opposed to the Domain account.  Not sure if anybody else has seen this before or how it happened.
