Object value in Service/Process monitoring policies
I just noticed a little detail that is probably an old "feature", but I have not noticed it before.
Events being generated by a Service/Process monitoring policy at my customer's site, when a process goes down, do in fact have a value in the Object field, despite the fact that NO value has been configured in the Object feild of the policy that generates the event. I have checked both the default setting in the policy, as well as in the specific rule that generates the event.
When looking at such an event for a process that does not exist anymore, the Object field of the event seems to be populated with a concatenation of the values in the "Process" field and the "Parameters" field of the policy rule in question.
Is this by design? I don't like values being added to events that are beyond our control...
