Hello,
Anybody have information about the roadmap of Operations Connector / OpsCx , last version are 2019.05 ?
UI of the application are not free-flashed, i know OBM is improved about policy with versionning, deployment and many others features are not implement on OpsCx. But OBM 2020.10 don't have implemented a fully HTML5 UI, if you want to change policy, you could edit it in raw mode, is not really user friendly.
I see on the marketplace a Tomcat 9x pack to manually change the servlet server https://marketplace.microfocus.com/itom/content/tomcat-9x-package.
Dev Team or Package Team could don't repack a fully release of OpsCx ? Is this the end of OpsCx, with a Flash UI and a Servlet Server Tomcat 7.x ?
Kind,
G. ESPADA

Please note the following points in relation to the Operations Connector/OpsCx 2019.05
- Correct, the Operations Connector Local policy editor UI is Flash-Based, this UI will be completely removed in a future release. There are no plans to make it Flash Free
- Operations Connector 2019.05 is used by the following Connectors:, SCOM, OneView, OEM, SAP SolMgr, Zabbix, Nagios, Zenoss, Icinga, CA-APM, CA Spectrum , IBM Tivoli
- OBM Policy Mgmt is the method going forward to manage policies for these connectors
- The OBM policy editors required to manage the Connector policies, will be made flash free in a future OBM release.
- The Flash Free alternative for this is to use the Raw Policy Editor
https://docs.microfocus.com/itom/Operations_Bridge_Manager:2020.10/AdditionalPolicySyntax
For the Connectors mentioned above, since the Operations Connectors 2019.05 is essential, so to meet customers need for Tomcat upgrade, we released the Tomcat 9x Package
https://marketplace.microfocus.com/itom/content/tomcat-9x-package
Micro Focus shall officially support these Connectors to adhere to the Product Life Cycle Commitments.
They continue to be available for downloading from the Marketplace.
Now, regarding the Operations Bridge Connector 2020.12, this is a new unified Connector framework.
- It is a strategy to accelerate the plan to integrate OpsBridge with several third party domain managers.
- Micro Focus released first set of 6 new connectors (ServiceNow, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, Solarwinds, NewRelic) in Dec 2020
- In FY21, Micro Focus will launch further new connectors using this framework, and also migrate few existing ones (to rejuvenate them) to this framework.
- We shall use customer feedback (as they start adopting and using these new connectors) to concretize this as the Connector framework for the longer term future.
- The existing Micro Focus Supported Connectors listed in point 2 above shall gradually migrate to this Framework (there is NO timeline defined yet)

Hello,
While I don't know all the details, I believe that OpsCx 2020.12 is only for a set of 6 new connectors (ServiceNow, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, Solarwinds, NewRelic). I believe that there is also a plan for the earlier connectors.
I acknowledge that a clarification of the roadmap would help.
Regards,
Thierry.

Hello,
Thany you @andreask for this information 🙂
I see on the ITOM Product LifeCycle, the product could be renamed "Operations Bridge Connector 2020.12"
Application released 23.12.2020, but it's impossible to download it, and no documentation are visible on the wiki.

Hello @Rotax
This connectors introduce "Operations Bridge Connector" application with the template for the products you cited and is possible that the Operations Bridge Connector is the new Operations Connector.
