(OpsA) Support Tip : How to fix the post install error “Unable to get configuration parameters…”
While running Post-Installation Configuration steps for Operations Analytics to connect the distributed components – say, opsa-server-postinstall.sh or opsa-collector-postinstall.sh there may be errors similar to below:
“Unable to get configuration parameters: Unable to proceed with postinstall as localhost IP address cannot be resolved. Please fix the server DNS resolving before running postinstall again.”
Ensure to that name resolution works fine between the servers – say OpsA server and Vertica DB server or the OpsA Collector and Vertica DB server. You might have to check the resolv.conf to ensure the correct entries are made.
