RUM action summary - No data

Hi Team

 

We suddenly stop getting the data for rum action summary report  from past week for one of the application . For other application we see . What could be the issue

Hi Parkar,

Is RUM Action Summary the only report with no data or this application, or are other reports missing data too?

yes only rum action summary report having problem , I see data in other report session analyser , session summary , event summary , application health

 

Also one more observation i seen when pages are defined i see the data however for default http request i dont see ..is that any limitation for rum action summary report ?

Hi Parkar,

Please query data in Action Sammary having * in Active Filters >> User Name;

In case you see data >> it means rum_action_t samples probably coannot reach BSM Profile DB and it is worth to open a support case.

In case you do not see data >> it means that it is probably was not triggered. It is worth to continue investigations in that direction.

Hi Parkar,

That is normal - RUM Action Summary only reports on defined actions by default.  However, I think there is a way of allowing it to show undefined pages too.  Try 'Enable automatic action classification' in the Data Collection tab in the RUM Application configuration.  There is a description for this in the Application Administration Guide - search for 'Enable automatic action classification'.

we have not defined any actions ..it is stopped suddenly . also same request we see under rum session analyser..what could be the issue

Hi Parkar,

Did you try Alexey's suggestion about entering an asterisk (*) in the user name field in filters?  This tells the RUM report to try and retrieve data from the RUM Engine MySQL database rather than the BSM Profile database.  This could help point where to check next.

So, if you are not having triggered actions in RUM DB you should not expect them to appear in RUM Action Summary.

Probably, in the past you saw actions created by "classification " (this mechanism is creating aliases for pages and send them to BSM, but it is not defining those pages in page gallery). Please check if pages classification id still enabled for this app or define your own pages in page gallery from Session details report.
