Restarting ODB

Jump to solution

According to the knowledgebase article ID:QCCR8D102559 "An error occured" when loading a view in My Worksapce" pertaining to the OMI 10.00, one should in the event of problems trigger the ODB restart:

Restart the odb process on the DPS server:

\HPBSM\opr\support\opr-support-utils.sh -restart odb

My question is, if this is safe to do without stopping the GW or other DPS components?

Yes, it's safe to restart just an individual process without restarting ALL processes (that is what happens when you stop/start GW and DPS).

Thanks. I'll give it a go next time we need it. We reboot every time we get "locked gates" for the views. That is like every two months., whis is too infrequent to bother with invetigating.
