I waited for hours together.

Logfile for package HPPmdbPostgreSQL is located at :
/tmp/HPOvInstaller/HP-SHR_9.40/Package_rpm_HPPmdbPostgreSQL_install.log
HPPmdbPostgreSQL 09.40.000 (HP PMDB PostgreSQL) component package installation
command is completed.
Successfully installed : package HPPmdbPostgreSQL 9.40.000 (HP PMDB
PostgreSQL)
Executing the finalize actions for package HPPmdbPostgreSQL 9.40.000 (HP PMDB

Executing finalize action : Installing Postgres. Please wait...

Please advise. Please let me know how long on an average does the install take...

Thanks.

Regards,

Karthik

I don't know that there is an average installation time, but depending on the speed and utilization of the disks and the amount and utilization of RAM, it can take quite a bit of time.

You should wait until the installer finishes or fails.  If it fails, check the installation logs for errors.
