I want to test drive SHR.  Does anyone know where I can get a set of manuals.?

The SHR manuals are included in the SHR media.

 

You can also get the copies from https://softwaresupport.hp.com/group/softwaresupport/mysupport (You will need to sign in as an existing user or register a new account.) Then select "Manuals", then "service health reporter" under Products and the appropriate version (SHR 9.40 is the most recent version).

 

The SHR Concepts Guide is probably a good starting point - https://softwaresupport.hp.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM01273121 followed by the SHR Administration Guide - https://softwaresupport.hp.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM01273126

Thanks Nick.  I found that when you download and unpack the software, you get a set of manuals too.
