Sitescope configuration automation

Jump to solution
Hi, I used sitescope 10.13 and I wonder if there is a way to add automatically new monitoring ressources.
For instance, there is a new server added and using a script or any other solution, we automatically discover this server in sitescope with correct template.
Regards,
Marc

SiteScope on its own doesn't have discovery capabilities, so the discovery piece should be done outside of SiteScope.

As for automation for adding new monitoring resources in SiteScope, it's doable. First of all, you can use Auto Template Deployment feature (please see Using SiteScope guide for details). You can also use SiteScope Web Service API. This API is not officially supported in SiteScope 10.x, but there is KB article (http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM425074), which talks about the APIs, including some examples.

The document IS available. If you just clicked on the link then the URL contains 2 extra characters in the end: ),

Remove them manually and it will work.

But this KB article is about API in SiteScope 10.x where it was not officially supported. SiteScope 11.x has officially supported and documented API.

It would be helpful for future readers if you corrected the URL by using Post Options > Edit Reply.
