Vugen record in Web(HTTP/HTML) Protocol

Jump to solution
Hi all,

I have record 1 JSP Application using Web(HTTP/HTML) Protocol. But when I replay the script, I get this message :

Action.c(27): Error -26377: No match found for the requested parameter "PeopleSoftJSessionID3". Check whether the requested boundaries exist in the response data. Also, if the data you want to save exceeds 1024 bytes, use web_set_max_html_param_len to increase the parameter size [MsgId: MERR-26377]

FYI, PeopleSoftJSessionID3 is a corelation parameter that is automatically created by Vugen.

I think the session is failed to retrieve because of some ignored data in cookies.

Do you have any solution?

Thanks,

Pieter M

The solution is not to rely on automatic correlation and get it fixed. Specifically check boundaries defined for the parameter and change them appropriately, so that the parameter can get its value.

don't relay on the automatic correlation, do one you self.
Go to the content check section in vugen, open the body section of the HTML and you will find the session id somewhere in there.

You will surprised from the quality of accurate you can get.
Setting left and right boundaries is good but you will need to find the right param first.
in the param order in the web_reg_save_param function set it to All at the start and later once you found what are you looking for set it to the right number.

I know that I cannot depend on auto correlation. But when I replay the script I found this.

752-byte undetermined data (before an HTTP Status Line has been identified) received for " http://192.168.32.8/lhbu/login.jsp", and will be handled and printed (or ignored) when determined [MsgId: MMSG-26568]
Action.c(27): Warning -26565: HTTP Status Line detected after some undetermined data, which will be ignored for " http://192.168.32.8/lhbu/login.jsp" [MsgId: MWAR-26565]
Action.c(27): t=12953ms: The ignored 752-byte undetermined data before the HTTP Status Line for " http://192.168.32.8/lhbu/login.jsp" (RelFrameId=1, Internal ID=7)
Action.c(27):

And the undetermined data is belong to the cookies. Is there any possibilities that the script doesn't works because of that warning?

I have look at that web application again. I found that sessionId is saved in browser cookie . And there are some cookie that also used to authenticate.
When I replay the script, it failed to Set-Cookie to browser.

this is the partial log :

If this issue is coming up in LR 91, please apply web accumulative patch LR91P021. I think its available on HP Support website.

If not able to find this out, let me know.

I was facing same issue and this patch resolved it

Hi,

For that case, i used Vugen 9, if i am not mistaken. And support gave me a patch for that case, but if this problem still exist in vugen 9.1, can you give me the link to download that patch? Thanks...

HI Peter,

Please make sure ur script recorded using web(http\html)protocol. Also, each and every value is correlated. After applying the patch and replay ur script and i hope it will resolve the issue.

Thanks,
Rajni.

Hi

Im facing a problem when trying to record a http / url script.

in the generation log i can see a JSESSIONID however i cant see it in the script.

The generation log shows its in a cookie?

Is there any setting to record cookies in vugen or internet explorer?

Cheers Ryan

record the script again after clearing the cache and cookies from browser..
from the recording option uncheck the correaltion.try to do it manually..
if the correaltion value exceeds above 256 characters use web_set_max_html_param_len(); in script
It must work

Thanks
Cheers!
