Windows Event log monitor custom application on OMi 10.10
Hello,
We are trying to monitor custom application using "Windows event log" policy.
the problem is that I tried the name for example:
MDB, %MDB%, MDB.evt and nothing worked.
I checked the file MDB.evt was in windows\system32\config and was there!
We are using OMi 10.10 SP1 and 12.00.078 agent.
Could someone help us?
Regards,
Diego Pereira

Hi Diego,
Custom app event logs should be in below format. (append “_LOG” to name of event log at last) i.e.
If you want to monitor custom app event log “Microsoft-Windows-Application-Experience/Program-Inventory”. In raw mode give below as event log source :
%Microsoft-Windows-Application-Experience/Program-Inventory_LOG%
We are enhancing the documentation on this point.

Hi Diego,
Not that its related to this but where possible to optimize your experience I would recommend the current versions of OMi/OpsBridge -as of this posting its OMi 10.12 IP1 and Operations Agent 12.01
