delete_monitor.bat not working for monitors with space in the name

Jump to solution

I am trying to use delete_monitor.bat in some automation we are working on. It works well when monitor has no spaces in the name but fails with monitors which has space in the name. Tried escaping the space by putting monitor name in double quotes, \s , %20 .. none works. Any clue about this?

I remember a similar problem when a group name contained a space, so it looks like those pre-built .bat|.sh files only work as long as the entire path to the monitor (group/subgroup/monitor) has no spaces.

Unless you are willing to change the monitor name, a workaround would be to use WS API directly, not via the wrapper scripts.

Thanks. We used the APIs directly to do the removal. It worked.
