NetIQ Operations Center 5.5: Evolving the Dashboard

NetIQ Operations Center 5.5: Evolving the Dashboard

With the release of NetIQ Operations Center 5.5, we are proud to introduce two new features and functionality for the Operations Center Dashboard: 1) The Network Portlet and 2) AppManger Jobs. In addition, you are going to love our enhanced Alarms and Layout displays.

New Dashboard Portlet: The Network Portlet

Dashboard users can now visualize element relationships and navigate hierarchical structures, similar to the functionality available in the console's Network view. This is an additional way to see a real-time view of your environment.

Use the Network portlet to:

  • Drill into services that aren't performing,

  • Get a quick view of the health of your entire environment, and

  • Filter the elements by condition and change the depth of your hierarchy while navigating through your view

Manage NetIQ AppManager Jobs in the Dashboard

Do you use the NetIQ AppManager adapter? Now when you are running NetIQ AppManager in your environment, you can view and manage jobs in the Operations Center dashboard using the Information portlet. Review job details, and start and stop one (or many) jobs.

Also enable or disable maintenance mode for AppManager servers in the Dashboard. Check out the AppManager alerts too. We have added a more detailed view of your alert information.

Upgraded Alarms Portlet
Be sure to take a look at the Alarms in the Dashboard -- in both the Alarms and Information portlets. We've updated the "look and feel", and improved the sorting and filtering capability. You can also change the order of the columns or even remove ones you no longer need to see.
