Layout Tab in OC

In the Layout tab we show all the services that we monitor, we have it
just set to the default, each service is in its own bubble, and there
are lines connecting the relationships.
It looks like the first example in the online help page,
myserver.com:8080/help/en/layout_view/index.html#bmh13w3.
Is there a way to have OC order the items in the bubbles alphabetically?

Also, I am wondering if there is a way to make the layout tab update
dynamically so that when something changes to a critical, major, or
minor state, that it is listed first in the layout view, and then each
group of critical, major, minor, and okay alarms so they are in
alphabetical order after being ordered by state(critical, major, minor,
okay)?
Thanks!

Re: Layout Tab in OC

It's a bit of a long anwser. Go to the view, get into edit mode.
(Doing this from memory, so some steps may not be completely accurate).

Clear the drawing
Next you want to right-click, customize, container, add child
container.

All the children will show up again. From there you can edit the
properties of the container to do things such as setting the amount of
columns, sort order, even hide the container box if you want.

You can then right click on the container, select change group (this
gets you inside). Then drag and drop the circle nodestyle (if they it
did not get set) and when dropping on one specific element, choose to
change for ALL.

Save group

This will get you started. There are so many features you can use under
the Customize menu to taylor the view to your requirements. Hopefully
this gets you pointed in the right direction.
