Hi Bilal,

Did you check the snmp interceptor policies?

https://docs.microfocus.com/itom/Operations_Bridge_Manager:2018.05/OMi/AdminGuide/Monitoring/PolicyTemplates/om_uc_pt_snmp_interceptor

Maybe you can configure your storage devices to send traps to a Operation Agent on wich you have deployed a snmp interceptor policy properly configured.

Re: How to monitor Storage Devices using OMi/OBM

My customer uses several methods:

1) SNMP Traps. There is a tool called mibpolicy that transforms a mib into a snmp trap policy. but result depends on the quality of the mib. usually it needs a lot of polishing to get good results.

2) Syslog. most of the storage devices can log to syslog which in my opinion is much easier to build good polices for.

anyway, you mileage may vary but it needs some experiance to get good results. So if you are not experiance with snmptraps, syslog and creating polices then hire someon how does 🙂

Good Luck
