Jump to solution

Dear Experts,

can someone explain the exact impact of Infrastructure Setting "Applications -> Operations Management -> Send Event Settings -> Enable actions"? What happens if this setting is set to false or true?

Thanks and kind regards

Hi Allessandro,

By default for troubleshooting purposes you typically woulld just want to enable the "Enable sendEvent "  by setting it to true.

The "Enable actions" removes auto actions or user actions from the received event. In most scenarios that is left off but you are welcome to expereiment with it further.

This setting is false by default.  The reason you would set it to true is to allow using the sendEvent command on the OMi GW:

<OMi Home>/opr/support/sendEvent[.bat|.sh]

to send an event to OMi.  You see it is in the support directory because it is typically used for troubleshooting situations.  Eg, to test an event is getting through the event pipeline or how it is processed through the pipeline.
