opsbridge suite administration

we test opsbridge suite 2017.08 for a while, but as documentation is quite poor i have a couple of quiestions, maybe someone know the answers:

- how to access omi jmx console which listens on port 29000 in standard omi 10.62 ? (not rtsm jmx console which can be accessed by url https;//hostname/jmx-console)

- how can i restart omi instead of kube-stop/kube-start or kube-restart ?

- is it possible to enable jnlp access to rtsm consoles (as described in 10.62 docs) ?

Re: opsbridge suite administration

Hello

You can access OMI JMX console using https://localhost:29000 or http://localhost:29000

Check this link for JNLP access,

Re: opsbridge suite administration

ramesh, i'm talking about opsbridge suite 2017.08, which is kubernetes based omi installation, there is no possibility to access localhost inside container via browser

Re: opsbridge suite administration

Hi,

OMi 10.62 has disabled remote access to JMX, but you can re-enable it under Infrastructure Settings: Foundations:Security.
The parameter is called "Restrict remote access to JMX console" and is set to "true" by default.
The port to access the JMX from the outside over https is 29912

Wodisch

Re: opsbridge suite administration

hi wodisch

thanks, but i had already tried this but in opsbridge suite it has no effect, because port 29912 is not forwarded from container to outer world

what you describe should work in standard 10.6x omi, but containerized version works differently..

there is a lack of documentation for opsbridge suite 2017.08 comparing to standard 10.62 documentation, there is only rtsm jmx access described in suite 2017.08 admin doc
