UCMDB Integartion with OMi

Hi All

We are using UCMDB 10.22 and Omi:10.11 .

We want to integarte the UCMDB RTSM with OMi RTSM basically a push scenario .

Can the follwoing be achieved:

a) All the discovered CI's be pushed to OMi

b) Toplogy(Sever-Storage-Network) in UCMDB to be sent to OMi

c) Business Models created in UCMDB oushed to OMi: What will be the benfit of the same .

Thank you in Advance for you response .

Regard s

Re: UCMDB Integartion with OMi

Yes, technically you can push everything (any CIs and relationships) from UCMDB to OMi RTSM.

However, ask yourself first - what are you going to do with ALL these CIs in RTSM? Do you have any valid reasons for them to be in RTSM, like you plan to monitor them? Because capacity wise RTSM is smaller than UCMDB, simply because it's designed for different use cases. So consider pushing only those CIs from UCMDB to RTSM for which you know why OMi needs them.

Re: UCMDB Integartion with OMi

We have done integration with UD and OMi 10,12 successfully.  We sync's N/W topology succesfully. We need to twick timeout parameter as it was failing.

Yes, you can push only subset of CIs/relationships that you want. You define such subsets via integration TQLs. Then you add those TQLs into integration job(s) of the UCMDB to RTSM integration point. That is how it works on a high level. For specific technical implementation details please refer to regular UCMDB product documentation.
