OO Central - Self Monitoring

OO Central - Self Monitoring

I think it would be cool if Central monitoring information could be displayed within the Central Web UI.

For example CPU usage could be displayed, memory usage or disk utilisation.

Would be useful if your investigating flow issues or performance problems.

Data could be displayed in graph format so you could potentially spot a trend.

Maybe also have notifications if CPU or memory spike etc

This is a very good idea !. OO could and should not substitude a monitoring system, of course, but some kind of rudimentary control should be incorporated within OO.

I like the idea, in addition, why not make a sitescope monitoring template available as well?

Java heap space is also very interesting!

We already have this monitoring information available in OO product , in the /oo/monitoring page.

JavaMelody is the 3rd party library used in OO , that collects and displays this report on statistics with a latency of few minutes. CPU, Memory, JVM info , including heap size , HTTP and SQL statistics are shown there.

You can access it with the supported browsers, while logged in as administrator or system_admin , by an url like this:

(or http)

In case of cluster with Load Balancer solution , you can access it via LB FQDN, but you will be viewing only the information of the central node on which you are logged in. To view info on the other nodes of the cluster, you can access them directly via that node's FQDN (as the example).

Just out of curiosity, if the requested data is already available at that specific link is it then also linked somewhere within the Central interface? Or do we have to type it manually?

@Niels Walta the monitoring URL is not linked anywhere in the interface so you need to access it manually.
