OO Multi-instance Execution Mechanism Changed after 10.X version

After OO 10.X version, multi-instance execution mechanism was updated. Our need is to execute multi-instance flows with the OO 9.X multi-instance execution mechanism as below. We lost this multi-instance execution functionality in newer versions of OO. Please provide the same execution functionality for further releases.

Note for upgraders from OO 9.x: {to be removed post 10.60} There is a difference in the way that throttling works in Operations Orchestration 10.x.

  • 9.x would keep a consistent number of concurrent threads running. For example, if you had 100 items and you throttled at 10, the multi-instance step would keep 10 going at all times. If one finished, it would start one more.
  • 10.x starts 10 of the 100, waits until all 10 are finished, and then starts another 10.

You must consider this when you schedule your patching.
