REST API for Updating System Accounts should be inJSON

Hello,

Brief Description: Currently if we want to update a System Account using the PUT /config-items/{type}/{path} API. We are required to pass in a non standard JSON: "{\"username\":\"user1\",\"password\":\"pass1\"}"

Per the documentation, the Content-Type for all API's are application/json, this means that we are expecting the body of the API call to be JSON.

What we need is consistency across all REST API's.

Benefits/Value

  • There will be consistency across all APIs. We will not have situations where a API expects a literal string, String JSON or standard JSON
