Two Factor Authentication Methods

Two Factor Authentication for Operations Orchestration Central

Why is this important, when it would it be used

2FA is a common way nowadays to increase security.

Using a username and password together with a piece of information that only the user knows makes it harder for potential intruders to gain access and steal data.

If you were designing the solution, how would  you do it?

                Code based implementation with generated pins sent over either SMS or through digit generators would be great to have

One should be able to specify a 2FA provider to allow plug-in of COTS 2FA solutions. First that comes to mind is NetIQ.

Need to allow for strong authentication to support public services and regulated industries solution deployments.

2FA has become a very common request and approach for more secure access control, starting with own NetIQ.
