Can we subclass existing steps or make a new one thru SDK?

Jump to solution

I haven't gone thru the SDK documentation... but is there a way to create new steps or subclass existing ones?

Also, is there a separate training for this?

Thanks in advance c",)

Hi,

So depending on what exactly you are trying to do -

Operations can be copied then have the input /output fields etc modified provided they are not required.

Operations also have a scriptlet option.

In both 9.x and 10.x is is possible to use the SDK to write custom actions called IActions in 9.  In 10 they have made it even simpler.

We also have a tool to import WSDL to create custom operations.

Subclassing existing OOTB/provided content other than the noted copying cant be done.
