How to install OO Designer on my local machine/Laptop
I am trying to install OO designer on my local machine but failing with database & IDM related errors.
I am not familiar with IDM. Can we pass this step and install OO designer to work on our local machine.
If yes, could you please provide steps to do the same.
If not, how can i create IDM service and resolve all other depedencies on my local machine.
I intend to use this designer for myself only.
Re: How to install OO Designer on my local machine/Laptop
I've installed OO Designer few months ago (I think when it was the first 'standalone' version available), some caveats:
- follow system requirements https://docs.microfocus.com/itom/Operations_Orchestration:2018.09/Install/OO_Designer_system_requirements Probably your desktop is not Windows 2008, 2012 or 2016; use a VM with RHEL, Ubuntu or something light and easy to set up
- install postgresql
- create manually db for idm [like 'idmoodb' or other name you like], and db user [like 'idmooadmin' or other name you like]. OO Central and Designer installers are able to create db, but IDM installer is *not* able on his own
