You will want to use the multi-instance in your flow by clicking on the painters pallet and dragging a multi-instance down. Then provide a list as the input and drop you subflow into the green box. There is a good youtube video (possibly linked off the front page of Studio) that gives an overview.

I would progressivly test by scaling up to 1000 and caution you if you are parsing during the operation. Watch your log for errors. I ran into an issue where I was parsing xml and it ran fine for 49 systems, but once I hit 50, Central dumped. Remember, you will be making 1000 copies of whatever data you feed into the multi-instance step.

You can do that very easy in cloudslang, using powershell script operation. This is the cloudslang flow that should work if you replace the inputs with your list of servers and the command to run your exe file:

namespace: io.cloudslang.demos.generic
flow:
name: run_powershell_in_loop
workflow:
- powershell_script:
parallel_loop:
for: "server_hostname in ['hostname1','hostname2'...'hostname1000']"
do:
io.cloudslang.base.powershell.powershell_script:
- host: '${server_hostname}'
- script: "& 'Path_to_exe_file\\file.exe'"
navigate:
- FAILURE: on_failure
- SUCCESS: SUCCESS
results:
- FAILURE
- SUCCESS

You can than create a content-pack, deploy it in central and schedule it to run everyday. The flow can be authored in Workflow Designer also, if you have CSA 4.8. Here is a video that shows you how you can use a parallel loop in Workflow Designer.

For more info about how to use Workflow Designer you can watch all the videos that we posted on our community youtube channel or you can take a look on the cloudslang.io website.
