What is your safety concern?
For information about this enhancement, please see "Authoring Enhancements" section on gape 8 in OO 10.50 release notes.

Your best resource is going to be the Studio Authoring Guide on HP Live Network.  It has a section titled "Working with Git Source Management System" that should be pretty helpful.  Here's the direct link to the HPOO page on HPLN:

Re: How to use SCM GIT with HPOO 10.50

With the recent upgrade of the HPLN site my links need to be updated.  You can now find the HPOO documentation at https://hpln.hpe.com/product/operations-orchestration/resources/documentation and the doc you are looking for is titled Studio Authoring Guide (it also includes the version number, i.e HP OO 10.51, but that will obviously change as the OO is updated).

The HPLN site is laid out much better now with several helpful sections.  I recommend browsing around for other useful info.

Additioanlly, in the Studio tutorials section you have several videos explaining different methodologies on working with GIT:

As a general answer, the GIT integration is a general purpose one, you can use whatever workflow you see fit for your organization. We don't encourage a methodology over another one.

You can find here different workflow models you could implement using the current git implementation:: https://www.atlassian.com/git/tutorials/comparing-workflows/
