Is anybody running nfs4 for their repository on Red Hat?

Is anybody running nfs4 for their repository on Red Hat?  We are having locking issues.  When we check something in, it locks the whole directory and nobody else can do any work.

These are our settings.  I already have a case open with HP support.

TZS_RD/DEV/HPOO_SHARE1 /development0/tzs/shared nfs4 auto,rw,nodev,sync,_netdev,proto=tcp,retry=10,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,actimeo=3,hard,intr 0 0

Thanks,

Don

Re: Is anybody running nfs4 for their repository on Red Hat?

We had a lot of troubles in the past, mainly due to StaleNFSFileHandler.

Our settings were:

<server>:<share> /mnt/hpoo nfs4 rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr,rw,addr=<server>,noac,nosharecache 0 0

We opened a case to HP support, and they fixed it by:

<server>:<share> /mnt/hpoo nfs4 rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr,rw,addr=<server>,sync 0 0

Re: Is anybody running nfs4 for their repository on Red Hat?

I tried those settings and it still doesn't work correctly.  All other users are blocked from doing anything when someone is checking in.

Thanks,

Don
