Migration of OO to new server

Hi,

We are planning to migrate our current OO installation to new servers. Our initial plan is to reinstall (studio, central, database, ras) manually into these servers and copy the database contents into the new database.

I'd like to ask if there's a migration tool available for this? or it is only for upgrading to new OO version located at the same server?

Thank you,

Allen

Re: Migration of OO to new server

Hello Allen,

Regarding this topic, OO doesn't provide a tool to  migrate to a different server. You can perform the upgrade on the same lab or you can install a new OO server and point it to the existing DB. If you perform the latest one, you will need to follow the steps of the Disaster and Recovery guide (on this link) and provide them during the installation (like adding a new node to the environment).

Please notice that DB migrations are not in support scope.
