OO 10.10: Execute flow from a remote server

On the OO 9.0, I used to use the RSFlowInvoke to run flows from the command line on the servers outside the Central, but the FSFlowInvoke is no longer available on the OO 10.10.  The Central Guide suggests to use the OOSH commands, but how can I use the OOSH on other servers where the OO is not installed?  Please help!

Re: OO 10.10: Execute flow from a remote server

Hello Masae,

I am an Operations Orchetration Support representative, so regarding your request I have found some information that could help you, please take a look:

> RunFlow.java (10.0x) is a way to use RsFlow-invoke but in 10.0x.

1- Select the flow that you want to invoke, and please copy the Run Link:

2- This is an example, and you can see that I ran the flow from other server.

3- Insert this link and in my case Network Check.

4-You can see that process was successful:

5-Remember that this process is called Run Flow:

I hope this information help you but if not don't hesitate to let me know.

Kind Regards,

Re: OO 10.10: Execute flow from a remote server

Hello Masae,

Thanks for your quick response.

Regarding your request run automatically flows from the command line, please take a look the next information:

>OO10.10_Central_Guide.pdf (184-185)

You can run commands within the OOSH utility or from a normal prompt/shell.
To run commands from a normal prompt/shell, type c:\hpoo\central\bin> oosh.bat
<command>.
For example:

c:\hpoo\central\bin> oosh.bat trigger --uuid ABC --user ABC --password ABC --url
ABC

I hope this information help you but if not, don't hesitate to let me know and I will continue with my researches to provide you the best answer to you.

PD: On the other hand you can create a script to do easy the process through command line (OOSH) and I have attached document.pdf

Kind Regards,

Hi,

That is correct - Officially there is no currently supported way to run OOSH remotely.

You can use the OO API to make REST calls into OO remotely but that will require custom programming.

Also there is currently an open enhancement request (ER) for OOSH to make it easy /supported to move to other boxes.  Open a support ticket to get your info added to the ER so you will be notified when its released.

You can also open a support ticket and support can give unsupported info on how to make OOSH work on another node.

The last option is you can install a standalone RAS where you want which will include the OOSH. Then disable the RAS service  so its not used.

Let us know if that answers your question.

Re: OO 10.10: Execute flow from a remote server

The API guide is included under the <OO_Install directory> - You could write custom code using the API  with Java /NET etc.
