OO 10.50-69 Silent Install
I can not get OO to run a silent install on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. Whenever I launch a silent install, the installer unpacks all of the jar files and then quits without performing any action. I cant find any type of log file or event in Event Viewer to indicate why the silent install won't run.
Contents of slient.properties file are as follows:
There are a few things we need to get out of the way first. It is the expected behavior for the silent installer to not show anything after it finishes unpaking your files, in fact for windows there is even a parameter that hides the unpacking process so you don't have to see that one either.
From what i see from your silent properties file you are trying to install a RAS. In the silent properties file you can use full windows paths including spacing without having to escape them. Regarding the installer.log the file is at the location where you installed OO. I did a dry run using your sample properties and the installer.log was located under: C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard Enterprise\HPOPER~1.
In case you run into more problems let us know and we will try to help.
The problem that I'm having is that there are no files in the root.dir location. After the installer exits, the directory is completely empty, including no installer.log file. I was not sure if the installer supported long file names or required escaping of spaces, so I have tried all combinations. Every time, the installer exits without performing any action or leaving any logs.
The silent.properties file is located in the same directory as the installer-win64.exe file. I have tried specifying relative and absolute paths to the silent.properties file, all with the same results stated above.
Also, I wasn't sure if the installer required the installation directory to already exist so I have tried both combinations, again with the same results.
Can you try to install OO and after typing -s provide the full file path of the silent properties file instead of just the name?
Judging by what you are describing it is possible that for some unknown reason the path to the silent properties file (although in the same folder) cannot be properly resolved.
Below is the syntax of every command that I have tried. After each attempt, there are no log files anywhere.

I've just run some of your examples in windows 2008r2 and windows 2012r2 and didn't encounter any problems. The only other problem i can think of is that maybe UAC (user access control ) is interfearing with the process. Can you make sure that the command window from which you try to launch the silent install is running as administrator?
All attempts were "run-as-Administrator". Also, I disabled UAC completely and tried again...same results.
Are there any debug flags that I can set, to determine why my silent install won't run?
