OO OMi integration

I'm trying to understand the capability of the OMi/OO integration.  What is the purpose of the event attribute parameter in the Run Book CI Type Mapping editor?  I believe this can pass certain event attributes to a flow but are these needed to pass attributes or can OO get the attributes of a OMi event without these settings?

Also,

I have ran into this issue at multiple accounts where the customer does not want multipel run books visible for an event associated to a specific CI type.

Any known workarounds?  This seems worthy of an enhancement.  Not sure if there are any pending enhancements in this area?

Even if I create a new CI type we really don't want to have multiple runbooks showing up for a specific event.

Re: OO OMi integration

Hello ,

the questions that you posed here are related to OMi configuration. OO-OMi integration is both ways, and what you were asking are settings and enhancements on the OMi side.

Unfortunately, this forum is supervised by OO specialists, so I cannot advise for these questions, but i sugest that you open a support case for OMi product.

Re: OO OMi integration

Do you know how credentials are passed between the two products?  If a OMi user has access to a top level flow that may trigger sub flows can you restrict the user to the top level flow and a subset of related flows?

So if user A has permission to the wrapper flow and permission to subflow A and B but not C.

Re: OO OMi integration

LW-SSO and SSL are involved. Please see “How to Integrate Operations Manager i and Operations Orchestration” section in OMi integration guide for more information.

Re: OO OMi integration

The integration guide doesn't have information on how permissions are passed to sub flows or if there are any options for checking authorization before a sub flow is executed.

Re: OO OMi integration

Do you mean user A who has full permissions to a parent flow is not able to view/edit subslow C?

Re: OO OMi integration

OO suport is not able to share with you the information that is not available in prodct manuals. You might open an enhancement request asking for more information.
