(OO Support Tip) How to configure OO 9.x environment with F5 load balancer?

Please see the OO 9.07 High Availability document.

You may use the load balancer (LB) of your choice including third party. If you use a third party LB, the actual configuration of the third party LB is not supported by HP. HP Software Support advises that the LB of your choice is supported by you or by the appropriate vendor (F5 in this case). Professional Services (ProServ) can be contacted for the support of the third party configuration.

The configuration parameters from the Apache based load balancer provided with Operations Orchestration can be examined for an example of configuration parameters which might assist in configuring a third party product.

If using a software load balancer other than the HP OO Load Balancer, be sure that for the Central web client the load balancer is configured as a sticky session. The LWSSO information is stored in the cookies so you will need to make sure the data remains during the redirections.

Enhancement request QCCR8C8631 Add support for a hardware load balancer and include recommended configuration parameters was submitted previously and closed with no plans to implement.

Enhancement request QCCR8C8631 is published on the SSO as QCCR1D130318. Please see the KM at:
