(OO) Support Tip: OO-OMi SSL communication fails

After all steps are followed to perform OO-OMi integration. A script is launched in Business Service Management (BSM) that calls an OO flow. In the last step of the flow, it attempts to write data back to OMi database. This final step fails. An error is seen in central-wrapper.log, java.lang.RuntimeException: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

This is an issue with SSL communication between Operations Orchestration 10.21 (OO) and Operations Manager i 10.11 (OMi).

To solve the problem,

  1. Export the certificate from OMi server,
  2. Import it onto OO central and RAS client.truststore.
