(OO) Support Tip: What methods can be used to configure memory in OO?

For Windows and Linux platforms, Option 1:  Memory can be configured in the Central wrapper configuration file (Central_wrapper.conf, central-wrapper.conf, or wrapper_linux.conf) by increasing or decreasing the initmemory or maxmemory values as appropriate (example below).  Restart services after modifying Central wrapper configuration file.

# Initial Java Heap Size (in MB)
wrapper.java.initmemory=512

# Maximum Java Heap Size (in MB)
wrapper.java.maxmemory=1024

For Windows and Linux platforms, Option 2:  Memory can be configured in the Central wrapper configuration file (Central_wrapper.conf, central-wrapper.conf, or wrapper_linux.conf) by adding additional java parameters in the configuration file (wrapper.java.additional.X=-Xms and wrapper.java.additional.X=-Xmx) and also commenting out the wrapper.java.initmemory and wrapper.java.maxmemory parameters (example below).  Restart services after modifying Central wrapper configuration file.

Example:

# Initial Java Heap Size (in MB)
#wrapper.java.initmemory=512

# Maximum Java Heap Size (in MB)
#wrapper.java.maxmemory=1024

Add the following java parameters to the configuration file where X equals the next wrapper.java.additional line entry and configure as appropriate:

wrapper.java.additional.X=-Xms1024m
wrapper.java.additional.X=-Xmx12288m

Linux Note:  Configuring OO with Xms and Xmx instead of initmemory and maxmemory is preferable and recommended in Linux environments.
