[OO Tip] 10.00 installation guide unclear about MySQL global isolation setting

Problem:

The Operations Orchestration (OO) 10.00 installation guide is unclear about the setting for MySQL global isolation.  The OO 10.00 Installation Guide states that for MySQL, "global transaction isolation" should be used to avoid deadlocks but the correct setting is not specified. The default level is REPEATABLE-READ but the following are also available:

READ COMMITTED | READ UNCOMMITTED | SERIALIZABLE

What is the correct setting?

Solution:

In the case of MySQL, the recommendation is to use: innodb_locks_unsafe_for_binlog

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/innodb-parameters.html#sysvar_innodb_locks_unsafe_for_binlog
