[OO Tip] HF_2367 SQL Query operation converts inputs to lowercase

Problem:

A Sybase database is case sensitive. If tables are named with upper case letters then the SQL Query (java based) operation will convert it to lower case.

The operation will fail with this error:

{Result=Attempt to locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'mydb' by name failed - no entry found under that name. Make sure that name is entered properly. ;returnResult=Attempt to locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'mydb' by name failed - no entry found under that name. Make sure that name is entered properly. ;returnCode=-1;rowsLeft=0;sessionId=iconclude-4498730838352588686;exception=java.sql.SQLException: Attempt to locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'mydb' by name failed - no entry found under that name.

What is expected? The OO flow should not change the case of the database passed.

To try and reproduce, create a Sybase table in upper case and configure Sybase to be case sensitive for Tables.

Run SQL Query against it with correct case, then OO will change the case to lower case.

Solution:

Please contact HP OO Support for hotfix #HF_2367
