[OO Tip] WSCentralService?WSDL & WS-Wizard functionality

Question:

In previous Operation Orchestration (OO) releases, the following URL was used https://central_server:8443/PAS/services/WSCentralService?WSDL to access the WSCentralSevice Web Services Description Language (WSDL). With the replacement of Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), is this Uniform Resource Locator (URL) still a supported feature in OO 10.00 as it still is functioning and still being used?

Additionally, the ws-wizard seems to be fully supported in 10.00 (as per OO_10.00_Web_Services_Wizard_Guide.pdf), but the release notes of 10.01 mentioned the following:
"It is not possible to execute some WsWizard operations in Studio and Central".

Can more detail be provided on this?

Solution:

The WSDL URL will work like it does in 9.00. It is still a supported feature, but it has been ‘deprecated’.
As for the Release notes statement about wz-wizard operations: "It is not possible to execute some WsWizard operations in Studio and Central". Only a sub-set of SOAP and representational

State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interfact (API) of 9.00 is supported in 10.00 as follows:

  • getFlowDetails (SOAP)
  • runFlow (SOAP) – async only
  • runFlowEx (SOAP) – async only
  • getRunStatus (SOAP)
  • getRunStatusEx (SOAP)
  • run_async (REST)
  • run (REST)
  • getCategories (SOAP) – always returns an empty list
  • getStatusForRuns (SOAP)
  • search (SOAP) – by UUID, description and name
  • list (SOAP)
